Carrie Fisher was best know for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films. She wrote the semi-autobiographical novel Postcards From The Edge that later became a film. Apart from her acting roles she also did much work as a script doctor on a variety of films, most of which is uncredited. Her mother was the actress Debbie Reynolds and her father was Eddie Fisher. As well as suffering from bipolar disorder she also had drug addiction problems. She had a number of relationshhips, including being married to singer Paul Simon.
